World Social Entrepreneurship Summit
World Social Entrepreneurship Summit promoted the ceremony at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. More than 250 political, business and academic guests gathered together to promote social care. The forum, with a title of “World Social Entrepreneurship Summit”, gathers international social enterprise entrepreneurs to conduct cultural exchanges and to discuss the impact of social and economic changes on social enterprises and investments. The aim is to encourage entrepreneurs, investors and policy makers to reconsider the future development path of the companies. 40 corporates and social leaders participated in the “Social Caring Pledge Scheme Ceremony” to acknowledge their commitment and initiation to social responsibility.
Dr. Ilex K.K Lam hosted a seminar and discussed the situation of social enterprises with four guests.
Dr. Lam Ching Choi, BBS, JP, who is the non-official member of the Hong Kong Executive Council and the Chairman of the Community Investment and Inclusion Fund Committee, was invited to be the officiating guest of the summit. The summit also invited a few leaders to be the special guests, including the former Chairman of the UN Global Compact, Gustavo Berlanga, the Managing Director of the Big Issue Invest, John Montague, the co-founder and CEO of myHarapan and the Youth Trust Foundation, Nurfarini Daing, and the co-founder and CEO of Instellar and UnLtd, Romy Cahyadi.
